Manchester-Melbourne partnership
The University of Manchester and the University of Melbourne have a long-standing history of collaboration, we even had the same Vice Chancellor, Professor Alan Gilbert, who took up his appointment at Manchester after a successful term at Melbourne.
Together we are fostering world-class research partnerships and opportunities.
Some of our partnership highlights include:
- 29 joint research collaborations to date;
- 50 dual PhD opportunities;
- More than 230 students who’ve participated in study abroad;
- New collaborative academic programme in Leadership for Development available now.
The Manchester-Melbourne partnership has the potential to bring real rewards for both institutions. Our collaborations have already demonstrated how our complementary strengths can be brought together to create teaching and research programs that reach beyond the activities we can undertake separately.
